The Rochester Rotary Club offers several scholarships each year to deserving area high school seniors. The Club also administers and awards one annual scholarship from the Vern and Barbara Clement Memorial Scholarship Fund (Vern Clement founded Easter Propane and was a Rochester Rotary Club member). Scholarship applicants must be high school seniors and either Rochester residents and/or the child of an Eastern Propane employee.
The scholarships range from $500 to $1000 per recipient. The application is available in the guidance office of Spaulding High School or is available for download here. The application must be returned to the Scholarship Committee no later than March 31, 2010.
The applications are evaluated based upon the scholarship, financial need, extra-curricular or vocational participation and, of course, community service participation of the applicant. |
